The bible has much to say about our lives…about our daily lives.

The book of Psalms says;

“You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
   Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.” (Psalm 139:16)

Here are three daily habits for every christian:

1. Daily Diet

Jesus taught us to pray, it is recorded in Matthew chapter 6, He taught us to pray to our Heavenly Father, He taught us to pray for His kingdom to come and His will to be done…then He taught us to seek “Daily Bread”.

“…Give us this day our daily bread…” (Matt. 6:11)

It is a daily diet of what is true, pure, holy, and all together good. A daily diet of God’s Word! Your daily diet is an indication of your daily cravings. What you feed on…eventually you will crave. If you center your daily diet on God’s Word it will become the central craving of your day.

2. Daily Direction

As you daily feast on God’s Word, it will provide you with “daily direction”. Don’t just aimlessly read the bible…allow it to speak to you…to direct you in the things of God!

“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” (Psalm 119:11)

His Word illuminates our path…the direction we should be heading. Use your daily diet to provide reference for your daily direction.

3. Daily Death

BAM! What?! You read it correctly…

There is no other option…either you die to yourself daily or your purpose in God will die daily. When God’s word reveals God’s path you are left with a choice…His way or your way. His way requires a death to your way. YOur way requires a death of His way.

Only one can sit on the Throne of your heart at a time. God or You!?

“If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me.” (Luke 9:23)

daily diet —> daily direction —> daily death

God Bless!
